I have been a resident of Gabriola since 2003 but my family bought property here in the late 70’s so Gabriola Island has been a part of my life for a long time. I have three sons, and six grandchildren, five boys and one girl. Would you believe it, my son named my only granddaughter “Billie’!
Over the years I have been an active participant in numerous sports on the island including golf, Pickleball, tennis, Dragon boating, boating and running, I’ve been a member of the Gabriola Players, sat on the board of the Community Hall and now am Secretary/Treasurer for the Gabriola Recreation Society. During Covid I built a cedar strip kayak and continue to pursue my love of working with wood by being a member of the Gabriola Wood Workers’ Guild.
As Past President of the Gabriola Golf Club, our goal is to provide your child with an enjoyable experience while learning the basics of the golf swing. Hopefully we will install a lifelong passion for the sport.
