The Gabriola Recreation Society was established in February 2002. The Society administers a variety of recreation services and programs to the residents of Gabriola Island through an agreement with the Regional District of Nanaimo. The Society operates as a non-profit organization with some local autonomy and authority through the Societies Act to administer the services on behalf of the Regional District.
The Gabriola Recreation Society unites recreation professionals and interested citizens to enhance their leadership in meeting the recreational needs of all Gabriolans.
We believe that recreation is essential to individual, family and community health and well-being.
We are here to help!
