3 hours of presentations covering all you need to know to pass your Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) Exam. Topics covered: laws and regulations pertaining to boat ownership and boating in Canadian waters; safety and distress signaling equipment needed on various pleasure craft; refueling safely; loading a small boat for stability; common “things that go wrong”, their prevention and tips for handling emergencies; collision regulations (rules for give-way and stand-on vessels); navigation basics and navigation aids; use of Charts and Tide Tables.
This 2 part in-person course includes a review and exam on May 10th.
